Cybex Arc Trainer Comparison Chart

We have many calls about difference of arc trainers. There are 2 types of arc trainers:

EVERY Lower Body Arc Trainer will feel the same.

 EVERY Total body Arc Trainer will feel as other total bodies besides the home models (350a, 360a, 425a). We do not recommend home models if that is what you're used to using these in a gym, as they will feel different. We have had customers who ordered home models, who were used to using commercial, not like the feel of the home models.

 So, if you're looking for the best price possible, 600a / 610a will be perfect. They will feel the same as the newer ones. SAME mechanics, same resistance, same incline, just a heavy duty, etc. Since they're remanufactured, same condition.

 600a / 610a are older. They are corded. Advantages of newer ones include more console features, more incline levels (750/625/770 have 21, 600/610/620/630 11), but not it's only more increments, not a greater range. Newer ones will look sleeker, and have more in the console like more programs, display readouts,etc. Also, 770at has the extra arms on the side.  Note lower body vs total: TOTAL will be a better workout and work everything from your waste up. All things being equal, I recommend total body. However, lower body is more comfortable for many. We recommend lower body if you're more comfortable with it, as it's nearly as good as total body. One thing to note. We've had people who prefer lower body get total body units, thinking they can us it without grabbing arms. This is possible for short periods of use, though, I do not believe it to be ideal for consistent use as it's not very comfortable, and, the arms get in the way.

 Overall, the Arc Trainer is one of the most popular Elliptical like machines we have. It simulates running at very low impact. Feedback on the Arc vs a Life Fitness or Precor Elliptical?

•  We have sold to many rehab centers and have gotten the overall feedback that it's the most joint friendly machine. Though to note this is ALWAYS dependent on a person by person basis, as there are people who said the opposite, though, on average, we have gotten this feedback.
