About Our CEO

Timothy J. French, the eldest of four siblings, grew up in Martinez, CA - a suburban community in the San Francisco East Bay Area. Known for his hard work and natural talent in mathematics, his skills and dedication led him to UC Berkeley where he pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering. However, he later chose to pursue a different path, following in his father's entrepreneurial footsteps.

Discovering a Fitness Niche at 19

At 19, Tim found his niche in fitness equipment. Using money saved from years of hosting and waiting tables, he made his first fitness equipment deal. He bought a Bowflex exercise machine from Craigslist, stored it in his parents' garage, sold it on eBay, and shipped it to the customer. This marked the beginning of his journey in the fitness equipment business.

For several years, Tim operated a one-man business, buying and selling Bowflex machines "as is" on Craigslist and eBay.

Entrepreneur Turned Fitness Enthusiast

Tim has consistently been a fitness enthusiast, going to the gym 3-4 times a week from the time he began selling fitness equipment, to date. He has engaged in activities from weightlifting to CrossFit, and more. This hands-on experience helped him understand gym machines and deliver gym equipment that are highly competitive in the market.

This year marked the company's incorporation to Fitness Superstore Inc., and significant breakthroughs in the fitness industry.
